Last Chance to Pre-Register for the 2008
BHCC
We have extended the Pre-Registration period until Saturday July
5th. Banquet Tickets are still available.
Please note that anything mailed after July 5th runs the risk of not reaching us and being processed before we leave for the hills.
Dont worry, you can still Register for the 2008 BHCC
in Sioux Falls at Billion Southtown July 16th, or in Spearfish at the Holiday Inn and Convention Center at Registration on Thursday July 17th.

Being that the 2008 Black Hills Corvette Classic is almost here, we wanted to send out a few updates on changes and additions to this year's Classic:

1. The Pre-Registration Deadline is fast
approaching
June 15th is the last day to pre-register for the 2008 Black Hills Corvette Classic. After that date, please do not mail any more registrations as it might cross paths with us as we're getting ready for the Classic. Don't despair though - you can still register for the Classic in Sioux Falls at Billion Southtown on Wednesday, July 16th, as well as in Spearfish during registration. There are still seats for the banquet available as well. Remember, if you don't get your registration in by June 15th there is a $20 "late fee" that is built into the registration price. Check your registration form for more info.
2. Pre-Classic Party at Billion
Southtown!
For those that have already registered, you have already received, or will soon be receiving your registration confirmation letter and know about the exciting prizes that Billion has donated. Each person pre-registered for the BHCC AND attends the Pre-Classic party at Billion Southtown will receive a set of 4 custom glasses - while supplies last. Those registering at Billion Southtown will also receive a set of glasses if they register while supplies are in stock. You will also be eligible for 5 different cash drawings!
3. Gas Discounts for those attending the
BHCC!
We know that gas prices are getting ridiculously high, so in an effort to help alleviate the burden, we have worked with a few gas stations in South Dakota to get gas discounts for those attending the Black Hills Corvette Classic!
The BP station across from the Ramkota hotel in Sioux Falls, SD
(Thursday morning caravan departure site) has offered 5 cents off per gallon on Wednesday, July 16 and Thursday, July 17th! You have to go inside the station to get the discount, but can still pay with a credit card if you prefer.
Al's Oasis in Chamberlain, SD
(the caravan's breakfast stop) is offering 4 cents off per gallon on Thursday, July 17th! You need to go inside and pay with cash to get the

4. Dairy Queen Discounts at Wall Drug!
We have confirmed a deal with the Dairy Queen in Wall Drug, SD to offer a discounted lunch deal - $3.00 for a cheeseburger basket (with fries) and a medium drink on Thursday, July 17th as the caravan passes through Wall Drug. Easy access on and off the interstate and the street will be reserved for Corvettes only to make parking easier.
5. Vette Street USA Update - Sponsored by the Spearfish Downtown Business Association
Entertainment for this years Vette Street USA will be the Four Sticks, a Led Zeppelin tribute band, along with special guest, Ever Onward that will open for them. Music is set to start at 5:00pm and will end between 9:00 and 9:30pm. There will also be activities for kids, artists, and food vendors downtown! All of this is sponsored by the Spearfish Downtown Business Association in conjunction with their First Fridays event.
6. More Information on Guided Tours!
We've had many requests for more information on the guided tours, where they are going, cost, etc. Below is a detailed description of each tour being offered (we've even added one!). Please remember that you can't do more than one guided tour as they all take place on Saturday and most will take a few hours or
more.
Breakfast
with the Presidents Tour:
Drivers meeting will be at 6:00 AM in the
"The Mercantile" parking lot on
south side of Exit 14 in Spearfish,
Saturday July19th. Tour will depart at:
6:30 AM. Tour Leaders are Mike &
Connie Gilbride. If you're never been to
the Black Hills, this tour is for you!
We'll leave Spearfish bright and early and
drive directly to Mt. Rushmore. We'll have
breakfast with George, Abe, Teddy and
Thomas watching what you eat! The cost of
the meal will range from $5 to $10. In
addition there is an $8 parking fee. After
breakfast you will have the opportunity to
wander around the monument area. There is
an awesome trail that will take to right
to the base of this majestic historical
carving of some of our nation's greatest
leaders of democracy and freedom! OPTION 2
OF THIS TOUR WILL DEPART AFTER A COUPLE OF
HOURS OF VIEWING MT. RUSHMORE. We'll
zip over for a photo opportunity of Chief
Crazy Horse off in the distance. From
there we will travel down the famous
Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road. We
will drive through Custer State Park (there
is a $5 per person entrance fee).
This tour covers some of the most scenic,
curvy, twisty roads in our Nation. There
will be a lunch stop (cost around $8
per person) with this portion of the
tour and we should be back in Spearfish
around 4 PM. Bring your camera and sun
screen. Drop the Top and enjoy this
awesome adventure!
Devils
Tower Tour:
Drivers meeting will be at 8:30 AM in
front of the Holiday Inn, Spearfish, SD on
Saturday July19th. Tour will depart at:
9:00 AM . Tour Leaders are Pat & Mary
Devaney. Come join us for the 2nd Annual
Tour to Devils Tower! It's unique and it's
only one hour from Spearfish, SD the
headquarters of the fabulous Black Hill
Corvette Classic. You will have the
options of taking the easy hiking trail
around the Tower, or driving up and
saying, "OK, seen it, got my pic,
let's go!". Your guide will give you
plenty of time to enjoy this majestic
pillar of rock. Remember, there is nothing
else like Devils Tower in the whole world!
Come and enjoy! This tour will be an all
day tour returning to the Holiday Inn
about 4:00PM. There are additional costs
for this tour: Park Entrance fee at Devils
Tower is $10.00 per vehicle. Lunch at the
Golf Course in Hulett, WY will range from
$8.00 to $10.00. The route will travel
over a variety of roads (no gravel!)
the scenery will be mostly open plains,
but the view as you drive up towards the
Tower is truly awesome! THIS TOUR IS
LIMITED TO 20 CARS. Bring your camera and
sun screen. Drop the Top and enjoy this
awesome adventure!
Heart
of the Hills Tour:
Tour will depart at: 9 AM from the
"The Mercantile" parking lot on
south side of Exit 14 in Spearfish,
Saturday July19th. Route Leaders are
Dennis & Kathy Pike. THIS TOUR WILL
NOT BE GOING TO MT. RUSHMORE OR CRAZY
HORSE MONUMENT. Tour length is approx 226
miles. Driving time is approx 5 ½ hours.
Route includes 2 morning and 1 afternoon
rest stop/photo op and a 1 hour lunch
stop. Lunch cost will be about $ 10.00 per
person. There will be a $ 5.00 per person
entrance fee for Custer State Park. This
tour covers some of the most scenic,
curvy, twisty roads in the Nation. We'll
travel through Lead, Deadwood, Hill City,
and Keystone. We'll have photo
opportunities for Crazy Horse and Mt.
Rushmore. We'll travel down the famous
Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road.
The lunch stop will be memorable! Bring
your camera and sun screen. Drop the Top
and enjoy this awesome adventure! TOUR IS
LIMITED TO 15 CARS.
7. Funkana Time Change
The Funkana was originally scheduled to start at 10am on Saturday, July 19th. Due to the tremendous response we have moved the start time up to 9:00am. The event will still be held in the Holiday Inn parking lot.
8. More Diamonds to be Given Away at Riddle's Rock N' Roll Party!
Riddle's Jewelry has been a fantastic supporter of the Black Hills Corvette Classic and this year we will again be giving away at least 2 gorgeous diamond pieces...possibly even more with a total value approaching $5,000!
Remember, we will also have the new 2009 ZR1 at the events and Brad Thacher from GM will be our special guest and banquet speaker. See you in July!

We have exciting news regarding the 2008 Black Hills Corvette Classic!!!
The banquet speaker for this year is Brad Thacher from GM. Brad is the Aftersales Performance Readiness Manager and has been with Team Corvette for 10 years, and with GM for 25 years. Brad will be driving the 2009 ZR1, and Chevrolet will also be sending out a display with another ZR1 - along with a few other surprises!
Get your registrations in early and make sure you sign up fro the banquet to ensure that you have your seat reserved! Remember,
the banquet is limited to the first 800 signed up and

It's official - the 2008
Black Hills Corvette Classic Caravan will
be departing Thursday morning, July 17th
from the Best Western Ramkota Hotel &
Conference Center in Sioux Falls, SD.
We will meet on the east side of the
building near the exhibit hall /
conference hall entrance.
Drivers meeting is
at 6:30am inside the conference center and
the caravan will leave at 7am sharp!

The Ramkota
Hotel is also giving discounted rooms for
those staying for the Black Hills Corvette
Classic on Wednesday night in Sioux Falls.
Standard rooms will start at $89.99 double
occupancy.
In order to get these prices you must call
the hotel directly at 605-336-0650 and
specify that you are with the Black Hills
Corvette Classic. Rooms at this rate are
limited so make your reservations early!
Reservations must
be made by June 23rd in order
to get this rate.
This location will allow ease of getting
on to the interstate, as well as having a
gas station right across the street from
the hotel for your convenience.
